I combined my original style with my new exploration into oil pastel to show people what's going on in my cigarette fueled mind. That's right, identity, identity, identity. That's what it's all about. Exploring who i am, who i was and how i've gone from was to....am? I've moved from country to country and lived far from my family, home, culture and background. It's created a bond to nostalgia and memories i have. Clotheslines uses a specific memory, a delightful cherished memory, i have of hanging laundry with my grandmother in Italy. Such a simple task but i can remember every detail. I miss my grandmother very much. But thankful for this memory that i channeled heavily to remember other moments and feelings and memories and then translated them into paintings and drawings. This show took place in Old City, Philadelphia.
