"disappear(ance)" explores the fragile boundary between an object’s physical presence and its disappearance. I am interested in how an ordinary object can transform when exposed to different conditions of light, darkness, focus, and contrast. As its visible boundaries begin to dissolve, the body becomes less fixed and more atmospheric, hovering between recognition and abstraction. Rendered in black and white, the image resists clarity by design, shifting attention away from the object itself and towards the space around it. What remains is not quite a body, but not yet an absence - a form caught between appearing and vanishing. The work is an exploration of how perception changes when the physical boundaries of an object can no longer be clearly held.
