Drawing Phenomena – Architecture at the Verge of Disappearance

Drawing Phenomena is an ongoing artistic and architectural research practice investigating the deterioration, transformation, and disappearance of the built environment.

Through photographic documentation, intricate hand drawing, collage, and the superimposition of transparent layers, architectural fragments are dissected and reconstructed according to their material conditions.

The drawings explore endangered buildings in Sofia alongside international architectural case studies, including Tokyo's demolished Nakagin Capsule Tower. Surviving ornamentation, exposed structures, and traces of urban infrastructure become expressions of architectural memory and gradual disappearance.

Drawing becomes an act of observation before intervention, questioning how architectural identity persists through transformation and loss.
