An aging worker ant, near the end of its lifespan, decided to rest on a white rose. They both had arrived at the same threshold. The flower had already begun to wilt, its petals marked with rust and decay, while the ant, one of the old foragers who often die at the site of their last collection, may not leave this petal alive.

This photograph, called "Dying", is the literal reflection of the dying process itself, the quiet synchrony of two lives fading in the same place.
