Emily Hales is a multidisciplinary artist who primarily paints and works digitally to create colorful, atmospheric, and dreamy figurative work and domestic scenes. Hales’ paintings explore the strangeness and wonder that life brings. We are expansive, creative, dreamy, and ever-changing beings stuck in a physical world of deadlines, alarms, appointments, meetings, and traffic lights. The fitting of those two realities can be strange and uncomfortable but exciting and optimistic.
