Invisible Cover

When I was in elementary school, I lived with my grandma. My grandma has a habit of pasting used newspapers onto the wall, leaving nowhere uncovered. At that time, I used to sleep at 8:00 p.m. as requested by my grandma and always stared at those newspapers before I fell asleep.

After so many years, I can still recall rough sketches of them, but I cannot remember any content. In retrospect, suddenly I find out that, although they were common in my life, I never read any articles in the newspaper, nor did I see others read about them.

Why didn’t those who pasted newspapers onto the wall read newspapers?
Do we more tend to choose to ignore abundant information surrounding us?
