My work bridges the gap between sculpture and installation, using vibrant hues and intricate textures to create immersive, tactile experiences. Each piece holds its own narrative while engaging in a broader dialogue with its counterparts, challenging perceptions and inviting deeper exploration.
At the core of my process is the act of wrapping; a continuous spiral of yarn that envelops each form I create. Beginning with foundational materials such as canvas, wood, plaster, and clay. I construct a framework that acts as the skeleton of the work. This skeleton then undergoes a transformation as I methodically wind yarn around it in an unbroken spiral. Each layer of yarn is a deliberate act, slowly building up until the structure is fully covered and brought to life.
