NYC_2026 is a collection of photographs made during a trip to New York City with my family of three in the summer of 2026.
We arrived in the middle of a heat wave, which shaped the way we moved through and experienced the city. The heat slowed things down and created these small, fleeting moments that I found myself drawn to people finding shade, light hitting the streets, bodies moving through the city, and the quieter moments happening in between.
The photographs became less about documenting New York itself and more about remembering what New York felt like to us during that time. They reflect the city as I saw it: hot, intimate, chaotic, beautiful, and constantly moving.
I’m a full-time freelance graphic designer and an aspiring photographer. NYC_2026 will become my first self-published zine, releasing November 28, 2026.
