Over Yonder by Outsidethewoods (Cape Town, South Africa by Way of Johannesburg)

08.10.26 —

My art style is an exploration of resilience, painted with bold, intense colours. The nature of who 'Outsidethewoods' is is rooted in experiences of my childhood (through a love of early cartoons like Courage, Smaurai jack, and my love for video games of the early 2000s, all of which have shaped how I view the world and share that experience through these pieces). The bold colours serve not only as my aesthetic preference but as a visual testament to the strength garnered from confronting adversity and non-conformity, and this has shaped my artistic identity.
