Sara Buccellato is an Italian artist, illustrator and Buddhist Art historian based in Cambridge. Originally from Palermo, Sicily, she trained in comics and illustration in Palermo before studying Illustration & Animation in Cambridge. Alongside her creative practice, Sara has a strong academic interest in visual culture and Buddhist art. Her work explores the boundaries between self, other, and nature. The asemic writing in her works alludes to the impossibility of capturing the nature of the universe in words.
