As I move from place to place, absorbing cultures, people and impressions around me, I build up a gallery of characters, psychological vignettes and notes presented via painting and drawing as masks, poetic visions. These scenes are memories and archetypes I would like to come back to, being places of safety or reflections of myself: my little brother on the beach, Mr. Angst in his red armchair and others.
Real life impressions and memories from physical spaces blend and together lay foundation for a new imaginary space with selected characters placed there like puppets.
I guide and compose them as a puppeteer – for your entertainment, attracting you further into the world of laughter, gaiety, irony, and creative play – a mix of my memories and reflections.
