Rules for a good day

Rules for a Good Day brings together a group of distorted figures, animals, and unfamiliar forms within a landscape that seems to follow its own logic. The work considers the small, often absurd rules we create in order to make a day feel manageable, meaningful, or simply good. These rules can be contradictory: they may promise order while producing confusion, or offer comfort while making us more aware of uncertainty. The figures in the painting do not appear to fully belong to the world around them, yet they continue to move, interact, and coexist within it. Rather than presenting a clear narrative. the work leaves these relationships open, suggesting a day in which nothing quite happens as expected, but everything still has its place.
