A solo exhibition by Anna-Elizaveta Žurbenko featuring illustrations from the last four years. Estonia, Tallinn, Marati 5/2, 2nd floor. Opening dates: 20.10.26 - 11.01.27

“Shtuchki” (thingies, little things) is what Anna and her artist friends call their works. The word helps them not to give their pieces too much weight: it chases away the fear of the blank page, adds some humor to the finished drawings, and lifts the burden every creative person carries: “am I good enough? is this too derivative? do I even have anything to say?”. For Anna, drawing is not a grand, meaningful statement but a search for characters - in random people or everyday objects, - and a way to build her own small, colorful world. Besides, she gets inspired by fairy-tale motifs, folk decorative arts and crafts, and the world of plants and flowers.
