The art of Pablo Martín

My work seeks what I understand as the human element. Rooted in Indigenous, folk, outsider, and African art, it stays sensitive to the present through objects, installations, prints, ceramics, murals, painting and drawing. I paint and draw with small sticks on found paper and wood — tools that connect me to the primal, the visceral, and what is marked by time. The Head is a recurring image: mask, face, object. I investigate its complexity and the ritual present in the collective, making visible our relationships with deities and nature. Geometry appears as imaginary symbols that build new spaces, connections and hierarchies.
