„The Other Egypt“ is a testimony of a lived experience as a woman.
Being alone in a new territory. A male dominated world.
Someone, who has Arabic roots, yet, speaks no Arabic.
There was no agenda to the picture taking.
It it about being in the moment.
In no particular role but in whatever reality is. Observing and being. Sometimes still as a tourist. Sometimes as a friend.
Befriending other women.
The documentary is about depicting places and human beings who happen to be Bedouin. Their environments. Their life. Sharing life with them. The good and the ugly. The loud and the quiet. Anger and sorrow. Laugther and cry.
No masks. No posing. Everything being unfiltered. Raw.
