Inspired by Tacca Chantrieri, commonly known as the Black Bat flower, this work examines uncertainty as an entity. Associated with mystery, transformation, and the supernatural, the flora serves as a visual metaphor for the unknown. Its sweeping tendrils encircle the central figure, evoking a tension between external control and unavoidable surrender. Forged through sudden transformation and unexpected circumstance, the piece confronts a recurring existential dilemma: whether human experience is preordained or entirely random. The work highlights the dual nature of uncertainty, framing the anxiety of the unknown alongside its inherent beauty and allure.
