While We Wait explores escapism, memory, intimacy, and the emotional residue of place. Sparked by a desire to reconnect with America after years abroad, the project follows small towns, roadside stops, and in between places across the United States. Through landscapes, portraits, abandoned buildings, and fleeting encounters, the work considers the tension between nostalgia and decay. Double exposures and layered imagery merge internal and external realities, blurring the boundaries between memory, imagination, and observation. Unfolding without a fixed narrative, the series finds meaning in moments of suspension and uncertainty.
