Amy Guo (she/her) works across painting and photography. Using miniatures and everyday food ingredients as points of departure, her work explores the threshold between physical desire and imagined sensation, the space where the body’s impulse to reach intersects with the mind’s ability to conjure touch through sight.
Guo received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2021 and is currently pursuing an MFA in Painting at Boston University, where she expects to graduate in 2027. Her work has been exhibited at the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai, SITE Gallery at SAIC, the Metcalf Trustee Center Portrait Gallery, and the Commonwealth Gallery at Boston University.
