Osaji Chinedu George is a multidisciplinary artist from the Niger Delta, he explores mythology, memory, and the politics of belonging. In his debut solo exhibition, he draws from Igbo cosmology to examine familial narratives that stretch across generations.
Osaji’s practice spans visual art, design, and creative direction. He works with charcoal drawing, video art, collage, installation, and sonic activation to investigate the role mythology and archival research play in untangling the complex histories of indigenous communities. He is interested in how memory is perpetuated through collective and personal engagement – the songs of our mothers and stories of our fathers. With an artistic language rooted in deconstruction and surrealism, he navigates the intersections between personal and shared experiences.
