Prasen Baviskar is a contemporary abstract artist based in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. His work comes from his observation of nature and the world around him, which he transforms through colour, form, texture, and imagination. Working mainly with acrylic, he builds his paintings through layering, scratching, adding and removing paint. Familiar forms often shift into something unknown, creating a space between the real and the imagined.

His paintings explore the way things we see and experience remain in the mind, change over time, and reappear in unexpected forms.
