Valérie Andriantsiferana was born in 1969 in Toulouse, France. Her journey has taken her from the Pyrenees to Madagascar, and then between Paris and Toulouse, where she now lives and works. These geographical, cultural, and personal movements nourish an artistic practice deeply engaged with questions of memory, vulnerability, and metamorphosis.

After several professional lives, she devoted herself fully to her artistic practice in 2011. In 2024, she earned a BFA from ISDAT with highest honors.

Through painting, she gives form to narratives where protection, transformation, and emancipation converge.
