I am a panamanian visual artist dedicated to painting and printmaking. Through figurative expression I explore memory, trauma, and the human body; bringing to light vulnerabilities and personal histories that often remain hidden, even from myself. My work is rooted in authenticity, transforming fragility into creative force while addressing different themes such as medical conditions, internalized racism within a black family and understanding who I’ve been/who will I become. I draw on chiaroscuro, surrealism and dreamlike structures to depict
bodies in fantastical settings where nature often becomes refuge and protagonist at times. My intention is to invite viewers to reflect, confront uncomfortable realities, and find a space for companionship within my art.
