Erdem Baytemur is a visual artist living and working in Türkiye. He graduated from the Painting Department of İnönü University Faculty of Fine Arts and has held four solo exhibitions, alongside participating in various group exhibitions. His practice draws on Anatolian cultural memory, esoteric narratives, nature, folklore, and traditional carpet motifs, reinterpreting them through a contemporary visual language. In his recent “Anatolian Lions” series, he explores the lion as a symbol of protection, thresholds, transformation, and memory.
