Eri Ishiguro
Eri Ishiguro
Born in Osaka, Japan, and now based in Kyoto, she is a photographer and yoga teacher.
Her perspective has been shaped by travelling to many countries from a young age, living in different places, spending an extended period in Montréal, Canada. These experiences continue to inform her visual sensibility and the way she sees the world.
During the pandemic in 2021, she acquired a single film camera and began exploring photography independently. Self-taught, she continued to experiment and photograph with that one camera, gradually developing her own visual language through practice and observation. Today, she works with just two film cameras, continuing to explore the possibilities of the medium.
Through photography, she expresses her own vision of the world and finds a sense of freedom.
