Giona Bridler was born in Switzerland to the sound of cowbells and the smell of mountain meadows and raised in New Zealand with the song of the Tui and the scent of the southern ocean.

After an inspiring period of extensive travel, followed by a successful five years honing his image-making skills in Zürich, Giona is now based in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges.

Giona approaches life with a calm intensity and sensitivity which is projected in his photographic work. His images have gained him international recognition through photography awards including the IPAs, TIPAs, International Colour Awards (Nominations), and Sony Emerging Photographer (Winner).
