J.R. is a Ukrainian artist working primarily with acrylic painting on canvas. Her narrative works combine symbolism, human experience and literary storytelling. Through interconnected paintings, she explores questions of perception, judgment, identity and the unknown. Her 2018 trilogy Per aspera ad astra is connected to an unfinished literary manuscript and preparatory sketches dating back to 2017.
