I am an Amsterdam-based self-made artist working primarily with drawing and illustration. My practice explores everyday emotions, vulnerability, desire and cultural dislocation through surreal figurative imagery, often combining playful, humorous characters with more uncomfortable or ambiguous situations. I work intuitively, developing drawings through line, colour, text and symbolic forms.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including at Jinny Street Gallery in Tokyo, Ztory Pop Up Gallery in Hong Kong, and CLB Huis and Kunstmarkt Noord in Amsterdam. Recent projects include A Lost Spectrum, a series of drawings exploring colour, sensation and emotional states, and Angler Fishy, presented as part of Of Love & Other Devotions in Amsterdam.
