Lucas Fita is a Spanish photographer and visual artist currently based in Tasmania. His work explores the relationship between landscape and the societies that inhabit it, often approaching places through sustained observation and a contemplative gaze.

He holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Photography from LABASAD, during which he developed *Itsasoaren Txistuak*, a project exploring the spaces shaped by the fishing industry in the Basque Country.

His work has also been developed in collaboration with CRESCER and Médicos do Mundo in Portugal, documenting social and community-based projects. His practice is grounded in an interest in how places are experienced, inhabited, and transformed through human presence.
