I’m Oscar, a Nikkei Peruvian-Japanese photographer and audiovisual artist based in Toronto. I work across documentary photography, video, and live audio, while also working professionally in Japanese cuisine. Moving between these different worlds has shaped the way I observe people: with patience, curiosity, and attention to small details. My personal work explores identity, family, memory, nature, and the experience of living between cultures, often bringing photography together with short poetry.
