I create my works through painting, drawing, model-making, and installation. Art, for me, is a space for thinking, and an important part of my practice takes shape during the process of making. The starting point of my work is research and study around a concept. Social-political history, as well as language, translation, and art history, are my primary references for thinking about art. In my works, I try to expand the distance between reality and perception while questioning the artist's original intent in producing the work versus what they ultimately encounter. For me, the language of art is an issue, a place of questioning and exploration about how it is expressed and its ability to convey what is understood.
