Ryan Riggs is a visual artist who resides in Ferrum, Virginia, foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He uses drafting pencils and oil paint to create highly detailed and vibrant artwork. This effect is achieved by using techniques he developed throughout his practice, studying his favorite master and contemporary artists. Riggs’s labor-intensive process stems from his experience as a carpenter and NCAA Division I collegiate wrestler.
