I make art to document the parts of everyday Nigerian life that go unnoticed. The small habits, the familiar objects, the rituals we perform without thinking, and even the struggles. I do this as a way to preserve and reflect these parts onto ourselves, like a mirror – a way of calling for notice. My hope is that when you encounter this work, you see yourself in it — and in that recognition, feel the pull to claim where you come from. Grounding.
