Internet Age Media Weekend

600-IAM

I’ve been invited to be part of a really cool conference happening March 20—22, 2015, in Barcelona (I’ve never been before)! Organizers of the Internet Age Media Weekend want to celebrate the randomness of Internet culture, and they’re bringing a really interesting mix of people out to be part of it!

Speakers include: Myself, Alex Bec (Director of It’s Nice That), Anne Bourgeois-Vignon (Creative Content Director at Nowness), Julia Kaganskiy (Director of New Museum’s Art & Tech Incubator), Katie Dreke (Global Brand Director at Nike), Filip Visnjic (Founder, Creative Applications Network), Eclectic Method (VJ/Remixer), Julius Wiedemann (Director of Digital Publications at Taschen), and many others.

I’m excited to be a media partner as well as a speaker at the event. There will be workshops, panel discussions, screenings, and I’m sure lots of opportunities to actually hang and become friends! If you’re interested in attending, or you just want to know more about it head over here.

London-based artist Jonty Hurwitz transforms warped digital renderings into incredible anamorphic sculptures made out of bronze, copper, plaster and paint. “Anamorphosis” relates to purposeful distortions that depend on an additional device or precise vantage point to reconstruct the image. In Hurwitz’s case, cylindrical mirrors reveal each sculptures true form. See more below!
