Excited to officially release the first video in our 6-part series of animated shorts for Red Bull Music Academy. Highlighting stories of unique musical collaboration, this inaugural episode features Chilly Gonzales and Peaches reminiscing about the first time they met.
We’re excited to announce that we’re joining forces with our friends over at Society6 for a special edition of our popular Doodle Hunt series. So what’s a Doodle Hunt? It’s a super fun online scavenger hunts where people can discover hidden illustrations on both of our sites for a chance to win epic prizes!
For the last Doodle Hunt we got our friend artist Luke Ramsey to draw a bunch of characters. This time around we want to hide doodles created by you! This is an open call for anyone on Society6 to submit work to us! We want to commission 3 artists to become our official Doodlers. In addition to being compensated for your work, you will be featured on Booooooom and Society6.
Leave a comment below with a link to both your Society6 page as well as a link to your website and include 1 image of your work. The link below will open up this full post, scroll to the bottom and leave a comment.
Must apply no later than June 30th to be eligible for consideration.

The Singularity refers to the moment Artificial Intelligence will exceed that of Human Intelligence and our capacity to control it. Scientists believe this event will take place around the year 2045. Lucky for us, the artists behind Countdown To Singularity are taking this existential threat seriously. Bas van de Poel, the project’s founder and curator, asked contributors to explore the different ways AI could bring us down. The result is a series of scenarios ranging from the development of amoral mechanized weapons systems to the slightly more mundane idea that we could all eventually be turned into paperclips.

“Drawing Operations” is an ongoing collaboration between New York-based artist Sougwen Chung and a robotic arm called Drawing Operations Unit: Generation 1, (D.O.U.G._1). Together the two draw in synchronized performance, with D.O.U.G. mimicking Chung’s movements in real time using a ceiling-mounted camera and computer vision. The arm was designed in collaboration with developer Yotam Mann.

Illustrators Christina Mrozik and Zoe Keller have collaborated on a series of detailed graphite drawings, created over two seasons in a tiny studio in rural West Michigan. The illustrations will be collected and released this January in “Intricacies,” a hardcover, cloth-bound, offset-printed book. Advanced copies of the book can be reserved through their Kickstarter page here.
