Lovely drawings by Florida-based artist Katie Evans. While often depicting women in lifeless postures or staring blankly into space, Evans sees her work as an expression of resistance rather than docility. As she explains:
“The seemingly submissive poses they hold become performances of endurance as they firmly resist their environment. They are immersed within themselves, possessing a quiet, reserved power.”
