A series of simple yet mysterious drawings by New York-based illustrator Wenkai Mao (previously featured here). Exploring the relationship between people and the space that surrounds them, “Earthly Recreation” involves a variety of figures partaking in bizarre and very specific situations. Mao explains:

“The moments I chose always appear quiet and peaceful at first sight, but they are designed to offer the audience as much space as possible to imagine the story behind.”
