New work by artist Niklas Asker from Malmö, Sweden (previously featured here). Embracing the traditional, time-consuming techniques of paintings, Asker’s work is imbued with a sense of ritual and reverence. As he states:
“My work is a conversation with history but also a tool for digging into the subconscious. Painting for me becomes a kind of excavation.”
