Won Ji Lim is a South Korean sculptor and installation artist based in Chicago. Her earlier work explored the body through fragmentation, reconstruction, bodily traces, and symbolic forms. Her current practice investigates hypervigilance, control, repetition, and instability through structures that require continual adjustment. Repetitive acts of tying, tightening, checking, and repositioning attempt to maintain temporary stability, while material change and time reveal the limits of control. Lim received her BFA in Ceramics and Glass from Hongik University and is currently an MFA candidate in Sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been featured in Designboom, Al-Tiba9, Purplehaze Magazine, and Visual Art Journal.
